About me

Hello, my name is Pasang Tamang and I am a seasoned trekking guide with over 16 years of experience leading adventures in the Himalayas. I was born and raised in the remote mountain village of Lokhim, located in the lower Everest region, and from a young age, I learned the basics of hiking and exploring the mountains. After graduating from Collage, I began my career as a trekking porter in Lukla and Jiri, the gateway to the Everest.

Over the years, I have worked my way up from porter to assistant guide and eventually, to trekking guide, leading trips all over Nepal, as well as in India, Tibet, and Bhutan. The Everest region holds a special place in my heart, as it is where I grew up and where I feel most at home.

In addition to my work as a trekking guide, I also specialize in mountaineering and am passionate about organizing charity and community projects in the remote villages of Nepal, including my home village of Lokhim.

I believe in the power of adventure to bring people together and to make a positive impact on the world, and I am dedicated to helping others experience the beauty and challenge of the mountains.

Whether you are an experienced hiker looking to tackle a new challenge or a beginner eager to explore the outdoors, I would love to help you plan and execute the perfect adventure.

Certificates

In order to learn about safety in the mountains, environmental protection and English language, I have completed many courses in the past couple of years. Thereby I have gained many certificates by the following organisations.

About this website

In 2017, Pasang guided us on the Manaslu Circuit Trek and we had an amazing time in Nepal thanks to his professionalism and expertise.

We've stayed in touch since then and, as a way to show our appreciation for his outstanding guidance, we offered to create a website for Pasang. Our goal is to help him attract more trekkers and make a living as a guide, without having to rely on intermediaries who often take a significant portion of the money.

Our help is completely voluntary and we don't charge Pasang anything for our services.

We hope this website will be a valuable tool for Pasang as he continues to share his love of the Himalayas with trekkers from all over the world.
